A Single Building Remains
A single historic building is the sole survivor of the three buildings that stood next to the V&T tracks just south of where they crossed Hwy 395 at Washoe City (photo circa 1940)

During the early days of Nevada statehood, Washoe City was considered to be "a bright star in the new firmament..." On this very spot was once a bustling community, supplying Virginia City with timber for the mines during the Comstock Lode.
